Jimmy Joy

Beyond basic Shopify Theme Editor edits, Jimmy Joy used custom Javascript and CSS elements to finetune the colors, spacing, and fonts used on their customer portal, even giving a different font treatment for different elements on the page. By transitioning to Affinity Portal and taking advantage of its built-in upsell carousel, Jimmy Joy was able to increase their average order value by 8%.

Mybacs

Mybacs used custom CSS to tweak their font and button styling to match their brand. From there, they targeted their upsell carousel to promote specific Recharge collections of interest, like bundles.

Jot

In collaboration with Absolute Web

Jot’s agency partner used Javascript SDK and the Pro & Custom exclusive Slots feature to add a hero banner placement ad for seasonal upsells, in addition to the built-in Affinity portal upsell carousel at the bottom of the portal home page. Jot explained their new banner “has supercharged our ability to cross/upsell and promote new and/or limited products” thanks to the flexibility of branding, room for copy, and location on the page.

Heartstone Farm

Heartstone Farm matched their customer portal seamlessly to their site branding using simple Shopify Theme Editor updates. From there, they updated their Affinity Portal upsell carousel to target a special “Add-on” collection, ensuring that all upsells added to subscription orders would be straightforward for the store to fulfill.

Blueland

Blueland made stylistic modifications using CSS to customize fonts, button styling, and other branding beyond what was offered by Shopify Theme Editor. At times, they used Javascript to encode additional messages within the customer portal and to facilitate third-party integrations.

Brickhouse Nutrition

Brickhouse customized the Affinity Portal upsell carousel to show curated products from a Recharge Collection. Their styling, including color, font, and spacing choices, was all accomplished through Shopify Theme Editor.

Dirty Labs

Dirty Labs created a high contrast and clean customer portal using turn-key color, font and spacing updates in the Shopify Theme Editor. From there, they also customized the affinity portal upsell carousel using the Pro and Custom plan exclusive script in order to target a pre-curated Recharge Collection of ideal upsell products.

Gardencup

Gardencup updated their colors and fonts to match their brand using the Shopify Theme Editor and made additional styling tweaks with CSS. Their customer portal reflects a cohesive experience with the rest of their storefront.

Wildgrain

Wilgrain used a combination of CSS and Javascript SDK to heavily customize their customer portal, including modifying buttons, integrating with third parties, incorporating multiple distinct upsell carousels, and more. Although this required a significant amount of custom work, by hosting their portal on the Affinity theme, Wildgrain has the luxury to test different approaches that might be more risky if they used a completely headless portal. Wilgrain sells a customizable bundle product, so many of their stylizations included personalizing the Bundles experience.
