RechargeSMS: Redesigned onboarding experience
If you haven’t started leveraging RechargeSMS yet, there has never been a better time to begin. RechargeSMS provides our merchants with the ultimate flexibility around subscription management, and in April we launched a completely redesigned onboarding experience.
Upon signing up, you’ll be met with a short and seamless setup process—with constant support from our new in-app guiding companion—to aid you every step of the way! We’ve also added new status indicators to make it clear when SMS flows are disabled, in testing mode, or live.
Over 1500+ merchants have enabled Recharge SMS and on average merchants are seeing a 26% average increase in lifetime value (LTV), 95% RechargeSMS subscriber retention, and an average of $95k saved in yearly customer support costs. What are you waiting for?
Launching ‘Collections’ API resource
In Feb 2022, ‘Rulesets’ became ‘Collections’ within the Recharge merchant portal. Now we are very excited to launch ‘Collections’ as an API resource, available to all stores using our v2021-11 of the Recharge API.
Merchants and partners are now empowered to create, edit, and delete collections with simple API calls. With a single API call, developers can add up to 250 products to a collection at a time, and delete products from collections in bulk.
This also allows Theme Engine users more control over what collection is assigned to the customer portal based on what the subscriber is already subscribed to. We’re excited to see what you do with it!
Improved handling for webhooks
As we continue to focus on making it easier for merchants to proactively stay informed and improve their subscription experience, we launched an update to our failed webhooks management system.
Aligned with industry best practices, if you are using Recharge webhooks you can now expect email alerts when failed delivery attempts are detected and when a webhook is removed after 20 failed delivery attempts. This ensures you can address any issues that may arise with a webhook immediately and prevent overloading your webhook endpoint.
If you need help diagnosing a failed webhook we also launched a webhooks troubleshooting guide.
